Rumis
Co-Founder + CEO
Rumis brings 20+ years experience ranging from trades assistant to running large commercial and residential projects. He began his journey working as an apprentice for a master carpenter, and he continued learning about remodeling, interior and exterior commercial and residential construction by assisting different tradesman. Eventually he worked his way up to a Senior Project Manager for a national restoration company traveling across the country managing large scale renovation and remodeling projects for commercial and residential units. Rumis knows the industry and over the years has established a wealth of resources to handle any job at any time.

Along the way, Rumis would often do side projects after work and on weekends helping friends and family. After seeing so many friends and relatives being misquoted, mis-treated and taken advantage of by un-reliable contractors, he wanted to fill the void with the goal of creating a company that makes it easy to find reliable and trustworthy help. So he and his wife, Christina, formed iO Group Construction LLC. which was sweetly named by his young son who was an astronomy buff at the time.

In his free time, Rumis likes to coach men's soccer, attend soccer games, travel, work-out and spend time with his family.
Christina
Co-Founder + Manager
Christina is passionate about being involved in her community-whether it's repairing homes at no cost for those in need, teaching English as a Second Language, teaching yoga community classes, or participating in neighborhood cleanups.
As a graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago, Christina received her master’s degree in Applied Linguistics, which she put to use teaching English in both Mexico and Costa Rica. After returning to the United States, Christina continued teaching English at local universities. She also started working with her then fiancé, Rumis, helping him on job sites and learning construction basics. Christina was immediately drawn to remodeling and design. Christina decided to follow her new passion for bringing neglected properties back to life and co-founded iO Construction Group LLC with her now husband, Rumis.

In Christina's free time she likes to play tennis, take dance classes, travel and spend time with her friends and family.
